Born June 23, 1966 in Leningrad.
In 1989 he graduated from the Leningrad Order of Lenin Polytechnic Institute was named after Kalinin, Faculty of Technical Cybernetics.
From 1994 to 2003 he was one of the leaders of "Venture" Company.
In 2003 headed a production Company "METER".
Dmitriy Kolpachkov is the current member of the Russian Academy of Metrology.
Married, has two sons and a daughter.
